How many of you in the United States have heard of Mahindra? I don’t see many virtual hands. Did you know that Mahindra started assembling Willys Jeeps in 1949? I recently learned about Mahindra when I was completing research on compact tractors. Some of the major players are John Deere, New Holland/Case, Kubota, Kioti, and Mahindra. Today I read an article on CNNMoney.com that Mahindra plans on bringing a pickup to the United States market by the end of the year. The truck is a mid-sized, 4-cylinder diesel, that reportedly will get about 30 miles per gallon. To learn more about Mahindra vehicles, go to MahindraNA.com. Just what Ford, GM, and Chrysler needed…another competitor.

What do you think? Will Mahindra make an impact in the United States like Hyundai and Kia?
