How much are you going to spend on gas for your 4th of July road trip? – Use AAA’s Fuel Cost Calculator

Yesterday I blogged about how fuel taxes differ as you travel from one state to the next. At the end of this week, AAA estimates that 32.6 million Americans will get in their car for a trip of 50 miles or more. To help estimate the amount of money you will spend on fuel, you can go to AAA’s online Fuel Cost Calculator at FuelCostCalculator.com. All you need to do is enter your starting city, destination, and vehicle information. It uses current fuel prices to calculate the fuel cost for the trip. The only limitation of this website is that it only lists larger cities and popular destinations to choose from. Maybe more destinations (like all the National Parks) will be added in the future? How about adding Voyageurs National Park near International Falls, MN (my hometown) as a destination!
