Today I presented “You Know Cars, They Know YouTube” to a group of about 20 automotive teachers at the Illinois College Automotive Instructors Association spring conference hosted at Prairie State College. I have another session tomorrow. This presentation focused on the need for basic car care in schools and how teachers can keep the attention span of the Millennial generation. Did you know that the median age of a vehicle on the road today according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics is 9.2 years? Now more than ever basic car care is needed. Later I discussed how Twitter, YouTube, and Wikis can be used in the classroom. During the presentation I showed how to create a simple Google site by attaching the presentation on that site.
